Suggestions

This is for 5-Word 365; my adventure in year-round movie reviewing. If there is anything you think I should watch, either cos you love it, or you hate it, or you just want to see me suffer, put it in a comment below. If I haven’t seen it before (and can get it without much expense) then it will go on the list. If I have already seen it then I will let you know, and may possibly add a five word review for you.

I will say this though: there is a reason I haven’t watched any Twilight movies, so don’t even bother.

Happy trails, amigos.

Here’s a suggestion for WTF Sundays – Marronnier. It’s a bizarre Japanese horror movie with really creepy life size dolls, and not the real doll kind of dolls. Also Tomie is a great series of movies.

Its not old, but could you watch the new footloose for me cos i really dont wanna subject myself to it – the original is such a classic!
day 83 i think you should treat yourself to alvin and the chipmunks or the squeakquel :)

Haha! I actually want to see Footloose. I’ve heard a lot good things about it, plus the original is awesome. Maybe I’ll do a remake week or something.
I have a stash of kids flicks to watch that I got from a friend at work after she raided her son’s collection. There is no chipmunk action amongst it though. Perhaps another time…

The Miracle Maker – very topical if you watch it next weekend.

Nice to meet you on Saturday.

I don’t know if you’ve seen any of them, but the Studio Ghibli movies are always worth a watch…personally, I would recommend Howl’s Moving Castle or My Neighbour Totoro. One’s pretty epic…the others just fluff and easy to watch.

Again, not sure if you’ve seen it, but a film called Ink. I LOVE it. I’d really like to know what you think of it. I’ve heard mixed reviews. Would be good to have another.

Being John Malkovich is also a very good film. I like the ones that mess with your head. So The Machinist is also a very good film on that note.

A Life Less Ordinary is very good too.

Also, Hunger and Shame (both directed by Steve McQueen) are amazing films. Hard to watch on occasions, but really beautifully done.

If I think of any more, or watch any other amazing films that I don’t think you’ll have seen, I shall let you know.

(Notice how I had to go through my own blog to find most of these names haha. Seen so many obscure films in this process, it’s insane!)

I haven’t seen Ink but it’s on my list on Netflix. I hope to get to it in the next couple of weeks. Keep an eye out!

I’ve watched a couple of Ghibli movies and loved them, but never had the chance to binge and catch up.

I loved Being John Malkovich, and Life Less Ordinary was interesting but could have been better.

I haven’t seen Hunger or Shame yet. I’ll probably get to them eventually I’m sure.

In addition to Street Fight and Roger & Me, I have another for documentary Saturday – Gasland – very topical considering the current propositions for the UK….

Go ahead, punk. Make my day.
